Bulk t-shirt pricing in India — what actually changes the cost
Procurement teams often ask for a single “rate per t-shirt.” In B2B custom apparel, the final number depends on fabric, GSM, quantity, decoration method and timeline. This guide explains the levers so you can brief vendors clearly.
1. Quantity (MOQ and tiers)
Higher quantities usually reduce per-piece cost, especially for screen printing where setup is amortised. Share realistic quantities (e.g. 50 / 200 / 500 / 1000+) when requesting quotes.
2. Fabric & GSM
Cotton, polycotton and performance blends price differently. Heavier GSM (e.g. 180–220) generally costs more than lighter promotional fabrics but feels more premium for corporate wear.
3. Print / embroidery method
- Screen print — efficient for larger runs and limited colours
- DTF — flexible for multi-colour artwork and moderate volumes
- Embroidery — premium finish for polos and management uniforms
4. What to include in your RFQ
Product type, quantity, size break-up, fabric preference, logo positions, deadline, delivery city and whether you need invoice / sample. Fit Factory responds with a structured quotation — not a vague chat estimate only.
